President’s Holiday Message
Once again a year is rapidly closing and a new one appears on the horizon. With all the turbulence in the world, it is nice to know that through the blood, sweat, and tears of the Medical Missionaries donors and volunteers for the poor that there are glimmers of hope overseas and here in the USA. As a result of your efforts, a child will get some clothing and food, a mother will have a successful birth of an infant, a man will have a wound repaired, among many other little “miracles”. We so appreciate all of you! On behalf of the Medical Missionaries board, I thank you for your time, treasure, and work over the past year. Blessings on you and your families in this holiday season. Happy Holidays!
Gil Irwin, President, Medical Missionaries
THANK YOU!
Because of the generosity of donors like you, we were able to deliver a large quantity of food, hygiene products, and new toys to the Rock Lick Food Pantry in Grundy, VA. On Saturday, December 21st, families were able to receive food and hygiene products, and children had a chance to visit Santa and pick a new toy for Christmas. The volunteers at Rock Lick were so excited and appreciative of our delivery!
Haitian Electric Grid Reaches Clinic
St. Joseph Clinic in Haiti is almost ready to be connected to the Haitian national electric grid. This will be a major step for the Clinic and will greatly improve its operations by providing a more reliable source of power. Installation of the pole and transformer are completed, and Clinic staff have procured the other supplies that will be needed. Next, a Medical Missionaries team from the USA that is familiar with the Clinic’s solar power system will visit to implement the final steps to ensure that all the systems will work together with no conflicts.
We will keep you updated on the progress!
