Friends of Medical Missionaries Fall Festival at Windy Knoll Farm in Nokesville, VA, Saturday October 19
We are thrilled to invite our family and friends to the 2024 Fall Festival! Tickets are now available, so help us spread the word! Join us for a day of delicious food, live music, raffles, and quality time with loved ones as we come together to celebrate Medical Missionaries.
Raffle tickets are also available for purchase in advance. You do not need to be present to win in the Raffle.
We also have a very special prize for you to bid on. The Purnell, McKennett, and Menke law firm have donated a testamentary package worth $1400 for our auction. We will be sharing more details in coming weeks including how you can pre-bid on the prize and win even if you cannot attend the Fall festival.

The Prince William Senior Resource Group has selected Medical Missionaries as the recipient for their annual fundraising event! The event will take place on September 11th, 4:30 – 6:30pm at English Meadows, Manassas.
The Winery at Sunshine Ridge Farm: A heartfelt thank you to Maria and Nicolette for hosting an exhibit of Dr. Irwin’s paintings this summer! Their winery, located in Gainesville, VA, offers a stunning view of Lake Manassas and is proudly woman-owned and family-run. In late August, the winery held an “Artist Meet and Greet” to celebrate the artists and their work.
Sunshine Ridge Farm Winery has long been a generous supporter of Medical Missionaries. Be sure to visit and enjoy the incredible setting with its wine, beer, cider, live music, and breathtaking views!
Prince William Country Community Outreach Fair: Medical Missionaries was represented at the Outreach Fair, which was held at Unity Reed High School, Manassas, Va on August 3rd. We were happy to have the opportunity to network with community partners.

Haiti Update
The staff at St. Joseph Clinic reported ongoing issues with internet and phone connectivity this month, with the town relying on Natcom to resolve the problem for the community. Fortunately, power and water have remained stable, and the staff is trained in proper methods for keeping water safe for cleaning, washing, and cooking. They are also expecting the arrival of two Social Doctors to assist at the Clinic.
While the country has yet to see the full impact of the Kenyan peacekeeping troops stationed there, the community remains hopeful. Although there have been no incidents at the Clinic, guards are on duty to protect the site, staff, and clients. The clinic continues to be fully staffed and operational.
Supplies and Equipment In and Out
Ivory Coast/Cote d’Ivoire: Medical Missionaries recently packed a 40-foot sea container now en route to Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The two-day process began at the UVA Medical Center in Manassas, where the Merci program generously donated exam tables, office furniture, and other equipment like scales and lamps. Our team transported the donated items from the hospital to our warehouse, where the sea container had just arrived.
On the second day, the team, including professional mover Abdul and his colleagues, gathered early at our Balls Ford Road warehouse and completed the packing in just under three hours!
LAFTA, Cameroon: Medical Missionaries is continuing in its commitment to work with the LAFTA project, which offers living alternatives for the ageing in the community of Yaounde, Cameroon. We are collecting outdoor furniture such as chairs, tables, umbrellas, etc. as requested by Elisabeth M. Mofor, founder of the project.
Rocklick Food Pantry in Grundy, Va: We are accepting donations of non-perishable food at the office. We are also collecting holiday items such as holiday food, new toys for children, etc. We accept deliveries from Amazon, Walmart an others. Let us know if something is on the way! A list of items that are needed can be found on our website.
Lions Club, Fredericksburg, Va: The Lions Club stopped by the Manassas office with a carload of food and school supplies that will be included with the September trip to Grundy, Va. A special shout out to Lions Club member Karen Taylor for organizing this effort! We know that the Grundy community is always very grateful to this generous partner!
Local Donations: Our doors are open to collect or distribute in-person donations Monday thru Saturday, 8am to noon. After hours donations can be left or picked up in the white truck in front of the office. Every donation goes to someone in need.

This year we are tracking the number of donors and clients. In August, we had 85 donors and 44 clients that we supported.
